News from WI Alpha Delta Kappa
April 2025
I chose the theme "Flying Together" for the 2024-2026 biennium. Geese are our guiding force behind this theme. They fly further together, support each other when things are tough, take turns leading, cheer progress and are loyal to their purpose. These characteristics follow the guiding principles of Alpha Delta Kappa.

FLYING FURTHER TOGETHER
President's Message
Happy Spring! As the temperatures begin to get warmer, the flowers begin to bud, and more outdoor activities begin to happen, let us plan to begin an exciting spring with our Alpha Delta Kappa sisters. One way we can do this is by attending the State Conference in Eau Claire, WI on May 2 & 3, 2025. What a great way to meet and share the wonderful things that are happening in our chapters around the state. If you have not sent in your registration yet, please do so as soon as possible. Information about registration, activities and hotel reservations are found later in this newsletter. I look forward to seeing you at the conference!
Remember to visit the WI Alpha Delta Kappa state website and the International website regularly. Both provide information and updates about events, activities and happenings.
Chapter meeting minutes
The chapter secretary or designee should be submitting your chapter meeting minutes to the state president each month. They should be sent each month, but can be sent quarterly. This provides communication between your chapter and the state so that we can all work together to keep WI Alpha Delta Kappa strong!!
SUPPORTING EACH OTHER
Omega Sisters
Since the beginning of the biennium, WI Alpha Delta Kappa has had a number of members join the Omega Chapter. Thelma Dunnum from Zeta, Edithe Johnson, a sustaining member, Jane Pawlak from Gamma Delta, Susan Scott and Debra Heitkamp from Omicron, and Jane Fay from Psi. We will miss these sisters dearly. Please remember to notify the WI State Memorial Chair, Diane Grunloh, of any sister that joins the Omega Chapter. Diane will need information about the sister for the Memorial Service held at the State Convention in 2026. An obituary and any family contact information you can provide her is greatly appreciated.

Celebrating New Members
Also since the beginning of the biennium, WI Alpha Delta Kappa has initiated three new members and reinstated one. Welcome to Juanita Butler, Kelli Brunton and Kaitlyn Maliszewski, as well as Donna Schluesche, all in the Omicron chapter.
Is Your Chapter Struggling?
We are all aware of the decreasing number of members in Alpha Delta Kappa across the nation and internationally. Some of the indicators of a struggling chapter are:
1) No recent new members
2) Chapter reluctant to ask for help
3) Difficulty securing officer positions
4) Uncomfortable with technology
International is listening to many of the chapter struggles and concerns and are providing leadership guidance to assist chapters. If your chapter is dealing with any of these issues, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of the WI State Officers. We are here to help you in any way we can.
