Denise Lycos dedicated an incredible 47 years to Ingham ISD, leaving a profound impact on students, families and colleagues. Her passion for education and unwavering support of the special education community exemplified her commitment to making a difference. Denise’s kindness, tireless advocacy and collaborative spirit inspired everyone who had the privilege of working with her. Sadly, Denise passed away last Friday, but her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched. Her work was a testament to her belief in the potential of every student, and she will always be remembered as a cornerstone of the Ingham ISD community.

The Wilson Talent Center invites prospective students and parents to its annual Open House on Wednesday, December 11, from 4:30-7:30pm at 611 Hagadorn Road in Mason. Explore 20 Career & Technical Education programs, meet instructors and discover opportunities to earn high school credit, free college credit and state or national certifications. The enrollment team will be available to answer questions about next fall. Don’t miss this chance to see how the Wilson Talent Center can help students prepare for their futures. Spartan Project SEARCH is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 program year! Designed for young adults aged 18-26 with disabilities who are transitioning to employment, this innovative program provides real-world work experience and training in a supportive environment at Michigan State University. Participants gain valuable skills to prepare for competitive employment while exploring their interests through immersive internships. Applications are available online making it easy to take the first step toward a brighter future. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a program that opens doors to meaningful career opportunities!

This year, we proudly celebrated 307 Veterans with a heartfelt display at North Star School. Each Veteran was honored with a personalized American flag placed near their service branch flag, symbolizing their dedication and service to our country.This powerful tribute was a meaningful way for students to learn about and honor the sacrifices made by these extraordinary individuals.Guided by their teacher, Karen Keel's leadership and vision, students played a key role in bringing this event to life, fostering a deeper understanding of the values of service and community within Ingham ISD. #InghamImpact
