We're excited to announce that Red Ribbon Week starts next week! This annual event is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about making healthy choices. Each day we have themed dress-up days. Get your outfits ready for next week.

On Friday, we have our PTO Fall Festival. Please join us on October 25th from 5-7 PM for fun, games, and treats. Don't forget to bring something to collect all of treats.

We are now accepting photos of our veterans for a slideshow presentation and art display. This slideshow will be shown during our Veterans Day program and the art display will be in our hallway.

You may send as many photos of veterans in your family as you like, just one photo per veteran.

We are raising money to complete our outdoor classroom, school events, and for your students field trip costs.

When students sell at least 7 items, their names go in a drawing for one of our wonderful administrators to "Taxi" them to the cafeteria in style. Congratulations to this week's Taxi ride winners by Assistant Principal Ms. Johnson!

Each week, students are nominated by teachers and staff for exemplifying our school motto of "Be Kind, Work Hard, Be Brave". Their names are put in for a weekly drawing to be recognized for being caught doing good! Here are this week's Spotlight students! Who will get caught next week?

Fall weather is "trying" to come in to town and now is the time to start thinking about purchasing OGE hoodies, t-shirts and sweatshirts for your student(s). The entire family are welcome to purchase spirit wear as well! We love to see the entire family wearing school spirit.

Families are allowed to come to visit their child for lunch. Parents will sign in with the front office with your drivers license, sit at reserved tables and enjoy lunch with their child. Friends are to remain with the class. Once lunch is finished, students will leave with their class and parents will sign out with the front office.

If your child's school fees have yet to be paid, we kindly ask that those be taken care of at this time. To pay school fees, follow the directions below to log into PowerSchool’s Parent Portal to view and pay school fees.

1. ​​​ ​​Log in to Parent Portal You must access Parent Portal on an Internet browser to pay fees. You can not pay fees using the Parent Portal app.
2. Under the Navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen click on the School Fees and Forms icon, which should be near the bottom of your screen.

If you applied for free/reduced lunch and received an approval email or letter, please bring it by the school or email it to Ms. Shealy at tlshealy@lexington1.net to waive school fees. If approval letter is not received, school fees are the responsibility of the parent/guardian to be paid online through the parent portal website.

When dismissing a student or visiting for lunch starting on August 28, a valid drivers license / photo ID is required and will be scanned in a national database. Information is not stored in the system and will be required every time.

Early Dismissals of a student will need to be before 2:00 pm and in person. We can not take any dismissal requests over the phone. A driver's license will be needed as well as be on the approved contact list in order to dismiss a student.

• Breakfast is served in the cafeteria daily from 7:00-7:30. If you choose to eat breakfast at school, the cost is $1.90 or $0.30 for reduced cost. If you are interested in applying to see if you qualify for free or reduced lunch, please see the information below in the newsletter.

Lexington One has announced its policy for free and reduced-price meals for children served in schools under the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. A new application must be submitted each school year. Click here to apply.

Make sure to send all approval letters from Food Services to tlshealy@lexington1.net to waive your child's school fees accordingly. School fees will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian unless letter is turned in for fee adjustment.
