Elementary Library Resources with Mr Mayer: Our topic for November will be our ebook and digital audiobooks service--Sora.
Battle of the Books: Our first meetings of the year are scheduled for the first week in November. FES is November 4th, KES is November 5th, and KMS is November 6th.
EL Resources: Mr. Mayer is distributing EL resources out of the high school library. If you would like to request any resources, please fill out this EL Supplies Request Form.

Each newsletter, 16 new library books will be highlighted in this section. There will be four books each for the high school, middle school, elementary intermediate, and elementary primary levels. Click on the links below to see the books for this fall.
Library Resources to Highlight
Each newletter, three library resources are highlighted in this area. Here are the resources for this fall. All three are located in your Library Resources folder on Classlink.
The Juice takes the current events kids want to know about and produces accessible articles and activities that improve reading comprehension and boost student engagement. It is intended for 5th grade and up. If you are interested in a 18 minute webinar from the founder describing how it works and all it does, click here.
Teen Health & Wellness provides middle and high school students with nonjudgmental, straightforward, curricular and self-help support, aligned to state, national, and provincial standards. Topics include diseases, drugs and alcohol, nutrition, mental health, suicide and bullying, green living, LGBTQ issues, and more. All content in Teen Health & Wellness is created for teens with their unique concerns and perspective in mind. Information throughout is presented using a sensitive, respectful, and age-appropriate approach. Teen-friendly articles makes complex topics understandable.
World Book Kids is a reference website developed especially for elementary school students. It features an intuitive user interface, thousands of easy-to-read articles packed with stunning illustrations, videos, interactive maps, and a wealth of engaging games and activities. Can be linked to World Book Student (middle school version) for higher level reading.
Did you know...
...that you can access all previous editions of the Kewaskum Statesman at the Kewaskum Public Library? The KPL has printed bound copies from 1980 to the present. Also, searchable issues dating back to 1895, with support from Multi Media Channels and the Kewaskum Historical Society, can be viewed from KPL computers. See this webpage for more information.
