Field Day Coming Soon
On Tuesday, June 6, we will host our annual Willard Field Day for our sixth, seventh, and eighth graders (who are not attending the Grade 8 Field Trip). We ask that students wear sunscreen, a hat, and bring a water bottle for the festivities. We suggest packing a bagged lunch on that day; however, our cafeteria will be providing lunch as usual. Students will be participating in outdoor activities, classroom challenges, and team building excitement. We look forward to a fabulous event!
Locker Clean Out
Students should begin cleaning out their lockers at the end of this upcoming week to ensure that they can take home all of their materials easily. On Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2, our eighth graders will begin cleaning out their lockers during Resource/Spectrum. Our seventh graders will take on this adventure on Friday, June 2, with sixth graders participating on Monday, June 5.

Expunging Grades
A middle school student who has taken a high school course while in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade (such as Algebra I, Geometry, Robotics, or a World Language) may elect to have the course expunged (grade and credit omitted) from the student's high school records. Ultimately, to expunge means to erase the record of the course taken and grade earned. A more detailed explanation of this process may be found here. Please note some key information below:
If a middle school student receives a failing grade in a high school credit-bearing course, that grade and course will automatically be expunged. Strong consideration should be given for expunging low grades (C or below) in credit-bearing courses.
Once a grade is expunged, it is removed from the academic record and will not be counted in the GPA or count towards graduation credit.
Middle school grades cannot be expunged at any time while enrolled in high school. The decision to expunge is irreversible.
If you are interested in exploring the expunging process or would like to expunge the grade for a high school course taken in middle school, please review the information below:
