Rocket Update December 2nd
Week 17 π
Hey Rose Lane Families!
Welcome back! We truly hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday this past week with your kiddos!
We have a busy week back as this Thursday and Friday we will be doing our Math MAP assessments. This is the math benchmark assessment that we take at the beginning, middle and end of year to monitor our students progress on their grade level standards. Please help us by making sure your child is here and on time every day this week. π
We have a PTO Rocket Booster meeting tomorrow from 4:30 - 5:30 PM. We are still asking new families of Rose Lane to join us for these meetings to learn of some ways you can get involved in our events. These meetings have a virtual option and the link will be posted before the meeting on Class DOJO.
Let's continue to prioritize safety out at our drop off and pick up. We want to continue to remind you that the sidewalks are "NO PARKING" zones. We appreciate those of you who are using Madison Christian if you are choosing to park. Thanks so much!
Finally, we are still in need of volunteers for our Fastbridge testing next week. Remember, these volunteers will be supervising students so that our teachers can administer the assessments. The sign up link is below and we appreciate you taking the time to help us. π
Your Rose Lane Principal,
Andre Reyes, M.Ed.
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED β
We are still in need of some volunteers for our Fastbridge Reading Assessments coming up on December 11th, 12th, and 13th.
If you are available we are looking for volunteers to help watch over students while our teachers administer the reading assessments. You would be supervising groups of students for this volunteer opportunity.
If you are able to help please follow the link below and sign up for a time slot. We appreciate your support!

Upcoming This Month π
A Message from Our Cafeteria π±
Fall is in the air and with it the season for warm, comforting foods. We are proud to share that Madison Food Service won a 2024 Recognition Award for Innovation in Nutrition Education from Healthy Meals Incentives.
We had our "Giving Thanks" meal which included Cranberry Applesauce on the menu. Hopefully your student gave it a try and enjoyed it. Cranberries are high in natural fiber, a powerhouse of antioxidants and they improve immune functions and may even lower the frequency of cold and flu symptoms.
Elsie, with our Adopt-A-Cow program, is now a little over a month old and has a face to fall in love with. She is a Jersey cow that weighed 70 pounds at birth and at a month and a half old, she weighs in at 108! We have a bulletin board tracking her growth, if you happen to be in the cafeteria.
