As we all know Halloween is fun, but many don’t know where it comes from.

Halloween is celebrated on the thirty-first of October. The earliest depiction of Halloween is 2,000 years ago with the Celts and festival of Samhain (sow-In). It was mostly related to the end of summer, start of winter, and death.

They celebrated when they thought that ghosts and the dead would return to Earth. It was in the area that is now Ireland. To Commemorate the event they’d make bone fires where they burn crops and animal sacrifices. While they did this, they’d wear costumes spotting the latest trends like animal heads and skins. After all of that, they re-lit the heath fires and extinguish the bonfires earlier in the evening.

Have you ever thought about what do teachers do at home for the school? Well, a teacher emails students and families, grading, and planning. This is just some of what teachers do at home for school.

Have you ever wondered what a teacher's schedule is like? I interviewed Mrs. Wick, who teaches literacy and social studies in 5 Blue. Mrs. Wick said (and it may vary from teacher to teacher), but she said she gets here at 6:00 a.m. and leaves at 4:30 p.m. (if there is a meeting). This is almost ten and a half hours. Wow!

So why do teachers start to teach? Mrs. Loose said she worked at a daycare in college and really liked it, so she started teaching. Mrs. Stier said that she started teaching because well she always wanted to.

Now let's take a short break and talk about how to become a teacher. First, you need (at the very minimum) a bachelor's degree. For some teaching jobs, you need a higher degree.

The subject of our game is how annoying talking out of turn is to teachers. Let's guess on a scale of 1 (fine) to 10 (very annoying) how teachers rate this. Teachers rated this as a "10"!

In conclusion there are many fun facts about teaching.

The cross country club had a great season!

The whole team practiced very hard every Monday through Thursday after school for about one and a half hours! On Friday's they ran for one hour, and played running games such as sharks and minnows.

The team ran about 2 to 3 miles everyday or more! We did many different types of running: on the trail, around the block, up and down hills, around the neighborhood, and sometimes around the track.

We had many meets and tried to beat our personal records! The last meet we had was last Thursday. Everybody who came to the meet did very well and set a new personal record!!!!

The cross country club was very fun, and if you didn't participate this year, you should try it next year. It is hard, but worth the effort.

In 2024, there are so many people trying to follow trends. Middle school fashion trends can vary from year to year, but some popular trends often include graphic tees, hoodies, distressed jeans, sneakers, and accessories like backpacks and hats. It's important to feel comfortable and confident in whatever you wear, so don't be afraid to express your style!

In today's ever-evolving fashion landscape, a lot of trends constantly emerge. Nevertheless, I am a firm advocate of embracing your individuality and resisting the pressure to conform to societal expectations.

It's important to express your unique style and not succumb to the influence of others. Others are essential.

The first Warcraft game released on November 15th, 1994. The game covered the invasion of the orcs who are green muscular creatures from the planet of Draenor. The evil leader of the orcs Gul’Dan used evil sorcery to open the dark portal to the planet of Azeroth on the southern part of the Eastern Kingdoms. The orcs started their assault on the humans of Stormwind; the human kingdom of Elwynn Forest. The orcs killed the king of Stormwind (King Llane Wrynn) ending the first war. The humans also had to fight the corrupted sorcerer Medivh who helped to open the dark portal letting the orcs start their invasion.

Warcraft 2 which released on December 9th of 1995 covers the story of the Second War showing the forming of the Alliance: the Human Kingdoms pact to fight the orcs. Gul’Dan sailed a boat to a small island somewhere towards the west to help the avatar of Sargeras (the leader of an army of evil creatures trying to cleanse all life in the universe) instead of summoning Sargeras, Gul’Dan consumed the power for himself. Feeling betrayed Sargeras used dark magic called the Fel to destroy Gul’Dan. The Blackrock clan of orcs had taken Stormwind and were waiting for the reinforcements from Gul’Dan but receiving information the he had been destroyed they retreated back to the Blackrock fortress where they made their last stand but were defeated.

Warcraft 3 released on July 3rd of 2002 which covered the story of the Prince of the human kingdom of Lordaeron’s journey from being a hero to Warcraft’s best villain. Arthas was a paladin in training and also the prince of Lordaeron. He trained with lord Uther the commanding paladin. Then Arthas was called to investigate an odd plague to the North. Arthas and a powerful mage Jaina Proudmoore went to investigate. They found a plague that turns people into the undead. Arthas slayed the maker of the plague named Kel’thuzad. He then found a dreadlord of the legion who destroyed the town of Stratholme and the dreadlord escaped. Arthas sworn on revenge went to the icy continent of Northrend to fight the dreadlord. On the way he found a cursed sword called frostmourne. The sword forced Arthas to commit unthinkable attacks on his own kingdom. It then made him summon Archimonde. Archimonde is one of the commanders of the legion. All the other factions joined forces to stop the legion invasion and succeeded, but Frostmourne told ARthas to stop helping the legion. A night elf named Illidan Stormrage ( the first letter of Illidan is an i) what tasked by the legion to destroy the lich king ner’zhul (frostmourne and helmet) to stop the undead’s betrayal of the legion. Ner’zhul called Arthas to northrend and Arthas mortally wounded Illidan and Illidan returned to the shattered world the outland. Arthas put on the magic helmet and became the Lich King himself.

Now World of Warcraft has been around since 2004. Every 2 years Blizzard (creators of warcraft) releases a new expansion adding new story and new zones. This means WoW is way too big to explain on this small google slide. There is one thing I would like to highlight though. Warcraft is celebrating its 30th anniversary in november and WoW is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In world of warcraft they are adding an event that has cool rewards for the original players and new players alike. It is really interesting that a game series like this has been around for 30 years now!
