🐾 Success for Quarter 2 🐾
As we begin the second 9 weeks of the grading period, it's a great time to reset and refocus on our goals. Whether your first 9 weeks went smoothly or you faced some challenges, this is your opportunity to start fresh. Setting small, achievable goals can help you stay on track academically. Consider creating a plan for your assignments, staying organized, and asking for help when needed. Keep a positive mindset and remember that consistent effort leads to success!
In addition to working hard, having perfect attendance plays a huge role in your progress. Being present every day means you're not missing out on important lessons, discussions, or activities that help you understand the material better. Perfect attendance also shows your commitment and responsibility, traits that will serve you well both now and in the future. So, aim to be here every day, ready to learn and make the most of this grading period!
🐾8th PSAT Testing - October 22, 2024 🐾
Students should make sure to get a good night's rest, enjoy a protein packed breakfast, and have their device charged for testing!
🐾 CSforGood Fall Competition 🐾
Celebrating and recognizing the unbridled imagination of primary and secondary students across the state, the Nextech CSforGood Fall Competition challenges K-12 Hoosier students to innovate, create and build positive change in their schools and local communities.
Your Jennings County Middle School Science club has the opportunity to send projects to this competition. We can have multiple teams of 3-6 individuals. We need you! Do you have ideas on ways Computer Science can be used for good when applied to real problems that affect our schools and communities?
Each team will submit a technology project – either a software application, website, physical computing device or prototype (digital or paper) by November 4th to be entered into the contest.
The top four teams from each division will be invited to the Nextech CSforGood Celebration on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis. The finalists will showcase their projects, along with how they honed their problem solving, teamwork and CS skills, to a panel of judges, legislators, policy leaders, influencers and the tech community. One winning team per division will be announced at the end of the event. Each winning team member will be awarded a $200 gift card and teacher sponsors will receive $1,000 to go towards tech for their classrooms.
If you are interested be sure to join the Science Club Google Classroom (d2vngkw) and stop by and let Ms. V know in room 27.

🐾October Lunch Menu🐾
Many students often want to know ahead of time what is served for lunch each day. Here is the upcoming October Lunch Menu. We appreciate all of the time and effort our lunch crew puts into making our lunches each day. Thank you to all of them!
