September Strong
We are entering the last week of September. Scholars are learning and working and teachers are working hard to create amazing learning experiences and opportunities for scholars. We need your help with two important items:
The first is dress code. While our dress code expectations have changed this school year, we still need parental support and guidance as our scholars plan their outfits to school.
Dress codes are an important part of the school's climate. Our goal is to always create and provide a community where all members feel safe, cared for, and respected. Our dress code is one way in which we establish common standards for all community members so that concerns about professionalism, modesty, and safety do not interfere with the relationships we are building and sustaining. We have sincerely attempted to consistently and fairly enforce our new, current dress code this year. In an intentional effort to support scholars, we have made an attempt to observe, educate and counsel students who have been in violation of the Dress Code. We appreciate your support.
The second is attendance. We want your child at school. Once they are at school, we want them on time for all their classes. We are seeing many scholars arriving late to classes. Please help encourage this life long habit of being on time to your child.
We are excited about the renovations starting in our Weight Room and Baseball and Softball fields, so excuse our dust outside as we prepare for amazing new facilities thanks to our Superintendent and Board of Education. During this time, we may run into issues that we have to deal with that are outside of our control zone-- but we are so thankful that in the end, we will have new facilities.
We will also continue to work on mitigating circumstances regarding CoVID. We are thankful that what we are doing on campus is working and we are able to be in school. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us. Thank you for your support and for helping us continue to stay face to face.
