Chamisa Reading and Math Data K-6 Middle of the Year
Chamisa Families,
Here is a snapshot of Reading and Math data at Chamisa. The data is collected per grade from our December Istation and IMSSA scores. K-2 students only take Istation per NMPED, and our grades 3-6 students have to take the IMSSA (Interim Measures of Student Success Assessment. Grades 3-6 take Istation for a monthly assessment on learning
Istation: Is a monthly assesment that show where students are making growth compared to where they are academically during the school year. Los Alamos Schools use Level 4-5 as a measurement of being "On Target" for overall learning and in the specific area of Math and Reading. Each student has a report monthly. Parents can ask teachers for their child's report in K-6 if they have not received their report.
IMSSA: This is a tri-annual assessment (Beginning, Middle, and End of Year) for students 3rd-6th grade. Students are assessed on full year grade level standards. By the end of the year, students should be "On Target" for their current grade level. Teacher's give out these reports to parents after each assessment. The Middle of the Year IMSSA was given to students in December. Please email your student's homeroom teacher if you need a copy of their MOY IMSSA Assessment.
New Chamisa Tentative School Blue Print
Here is a tentative snapshot of what our new Chamisa will look like. Some rooms may change, but our school is laid out chronologically. This blueprint is just for the rooms, and not the outside (playgrounds, parking, drop off, etc..) We will send that blueprint out at a later time. It's coming along! The new school is still slated to be open in August!!
