Hello Tolson Families,
So many of us are excited for summer in this final stretch of the school year but we have so much coming up and lots to get done so let's stay motivated!
Please remember that attendance is still very important through the end of the year! Contact the front office if your student will be absent for any reason or if there are any changes to how a student will be getting home.
Please encourage students to bring water bottles and stay hydrated in the warm weather!
Breakfast is served from 7:50-8:20 a.m. so please remind your students to eat before the first bell rings.
Here are our last upcoming events of the year!
- Field Day is on May 2nd - Begins at 9am! Students participate in a day of outdoor fun and games
- OMA Violin Performance is on May 13th - Begins at 9:30am! The last 4th Grade OMA performance of the year for parents and siblings
- OMA Band Performance is on May 15th - Begins at 9:30am! The last 5th Grade Band and Orchestra Performance of the year for parents and siblings
- Folklorico Performance is on May 16th - Begins a 6pm - 7:30pm! A showcase of performances our dancers have learned throughout the past year. Please have dancers arrive at 5 pm to get ready!
- Kindergarten Promotion is on May 21st - Begins at 1pm! Please check out students in the front office if you plan on taking them home before dismissal
- 5th Grade Promotion is on May 22nd - Begins at 9:30am! Please check out students in the front office if you plan on taking them home before dismissal
- Last Day for Students is May 22nd - Have a fun and safe summer! Stay cool and hydrated!

General Safety Reminders: Please help us keep your children safe!
- Students are not allowed to enter the building before 7:30 a.m. There is no supervision until that time.
- Do not park and abandon your vehicle in the designated drop-off/pick-up lane or in the bus bays. This causes major problems during drop off and dismissal. Please use either parking lots when visiting.
- Follow speed limits in the “School Zones”
- Encourage your child to report all injuries or unsafe conditions to any adult on campus. If we do not know about circumstances when students are unsafe, we can’t intervene to help.
- Always walk your child into the office when they are tardy. The first bell rings at 8:25am. This is a District policy that is in place to keep your child safe. Never have your children walk to school alone when they are going to be significantly tardy.
- Parent pick-up students must be picked up in designated area in front of school. Please do not park in front of the building.
- You are welcome to sign students out before dismissal when appropriate. Please check them out in our front office.
- Parents/Guardians MUST call the front office when making a change in dismissal procedure. Thank you for helping us keep your child safe!
