Board Election Update - Candidates Announced
We have had ten qualified candidates apply for the 3 open seats on the CCA Board. These candidates are as follows: Shaden Awada, Lindsay Batty, Ian Foley, Justin Howley, Joi Hiatt, Samuel Jay, Michael Lane, Irina Matevosyants, Tahlia Sayers, and Adam Wehrle. Therefore, Cherry Creek Academy will hold an election for our community to select three Board members. This open election will commence on Tuesday, May 14 2024 at midnight, and will close on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at midnight. The Election will be held by electronic ballot. A unique and confidential electronic ballot will be sent to the email address listed in PowerSchool for each parent/guardian.
Cherry Creek Academy will host a Meet the Candidates Night on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. Our community is invited to attend this event.
7th Grade Field Trip Information
Dear Parents of 7th Grade students,
Cherry Creek Academy 7th graders will take a field trip to The Edge Adventure Park on Monday, May 13, 2024. Students will enjoy the Sky Trek which is a 4-story aerial trekking course. This field trip is $70.00 per student. You can pay through RevTrak or a check written to Cherry Creek Academy. Costs include transportation, 3 hours on Sky Trek and a pizza lunch. In order for your child to participate, you must fill out the following documents by Friday, May 3, 2024:

Parent Volunteers Needed for the Student Spotlight event on May 15th!
Please consider signing up for a slot to supervise visitors to the Student Spotlight event for enrichment students in grades 3 and 4 in the Innovation Space. Help is also needed for dismantling the displays and breaking down tables from the exhibits in the gym. Spring Art and Music Festival Information
The CCA Spring Art and Music Festival will be held in the gym the evening of Thursday, May 16, 2024! This document has the information that you will need to know about this event! We are hoping that all of our music students will be able to attend this evening festival to perform!
Art viewing will be in the main lobby/foyer area to cafeteria.
We are excited to see you on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Volunteer Opportunity!
Mrs. Peterson has a request for Volunteers to cut mats and prep work for the art show. It will be approximately 5 hours of volunteer time here at CCA during the school day for prep work and then another 4-5 hours of hanging and taking down art on May 13-14th and May 22nd-23rd. Monday Munchies Sign Up!
Earn volunteer hours by providing snacks to the CCA staff every Monday. Store bought items equal one volunteer hour, and homemade items count as 2 volunteer hours. Sign up one week before you will bring snacks. We love taking care of our teachers and staff!

Skate City is offering Skate for $1 Admission All Summer Long. Buy a Skate City Summer Card through the link below for $5. Cherry Creek Academy PTO receives $2 back for each card sold! Summer cards at Skate City are sold for $12 so this is a $7 dollar savings in addition to providing a donation to the PTO. Cards are also valid Saturday and Sunday through September. (Skate rental and adult night sessions are not included).

- Requires 1-2 planning meetings (in person or virtual) and attendance at the event from approximately 9am - 1pm
