Breast Cancer Awareness
Each year, the month of October is nationally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout this month, we encourage you to wear your pink in support of anyone who has been or is currently being affected by this type of cancer. When you purchase a "Fighting For A Cure" shirt from the Muscle Shoals Fire Department, all proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research. Sizes S - 3XL are available at Fire Station 1, and the cost is $20. You can find the design at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/muscleshoalsfirerescue

Alabama Fire College Donation
The Muscle Shoals Fire Department had the opportunity to present a donation to Matt Russell, Director of the Alabama Fire College. This monetary contribution was raised during the Battle of the Badges event held in July and will directly benefit the Alabama Fire College Foundation. Behind this fundraising effort, Adam Rainey’s vision transformed into a great support for mental health awareness among all first responders. We can’t wait to see the positive impact of this event for years to come!
Comprehensive Plan
The Comprehensive Plan committees (Advisory and Economic Development) met at City Hall to discuss the preliminary plan framework and strategic priorities of the comp plan. The following topics were the main focus of the meeting: land use, infrastructure + utilities, parks + recreation, mobility, housing, growth management, and administrative resilience land use. With the right strategies and resources, we know this plan can and will become the reality of Muscle Shoals!
