Thank you to everyone that made Principals' Day a great day for me. I received numerous emails through out the day from students, many thanked me in the hallways, and even at the choir concert last night many of the students were wishing me a happy Principal's Day. The teachers and staff made sure that I knew that I was appreciated. Thank you!

Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week and I am reaching out to all of you to help make next week a special week for all of our teachers. Please take a few minutes to send a teacher or two a note of your appreciation. This can be a simple email, a hand written note, or maybe a conversation that you have with them. Small tokens of gratitude go a long ways. Thank you in advance for taking the time to let your teachers know that you appreciate them. Thank you to our PTA for the activities that you have planned to make sure our teachers are pampered next week.

8th Grade Farewell is just around the corner. A committee of parents has put together an opportunity to celebrate following the May 21st awards ceremony with food trucks, games, and photobooths. They could use help with a few things. Please check out the sign up. They need volunteers to help set up and tear down as well as help with the photo booths. To help control the spread of illness in our school please follow these illness guidelines:

• Fever-Keep student home until fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication
• Vomiting, Diarrhea, GI upset-keep home until symptom free for 24 hours without the use of medication.
  
  

When reporting your student absent due to illness please give a brief description of the illness such as sore throat, fever, vomiting, flu, strep, etc. This will help with illness tracking and reporting to the health department.

Allergies/Cold- Reminder: The nurse’s office does not stock medication for seasonal allergies or cold/multi-symptom medication. There are several over the counter allergy medications that last 24 hours available. There are also over the counter eye drops specially formulated for allergies.
