Student and Family News - October 21, 2024
Greetings from IMT Administration
Panther News!
from IMT Yearbook Staff and Mr. Whitaker
Happy Monday Panthers!!!
Here is the link to this week's episode of Panther News. This week we feature photos from the upcoming teacher vs student volleyball game, an interview with Zyla Soto-Mitchell and Martin Clapper, and a day in the life of a college student with alumni, Fiorella Ramirez.
Congratulations!!! IMT Students at their BEST!
Last weekend many of our I.M. Terrell Orchestra Students competed in the Region 30 All-Region Orchestra Auditions. There were 11 students to place in the ensemble. This is quite the accomplishment considering a couple of factors.
We had the most students place in the ensemble in Fort Worth ISD
We had the second largest amount of students place in the ENTIRE region.
The only school that was above us was 6A Keller HS
Because of a region switch, we lost an orchestra, which made the completion more competitive for each individual spot.
The largest number we have ever had make the top orchestra in Region 5 was 5 students.
Please congratulate the following students on their incredible accomplishment:
Violin
Harper Berzon
Jacob Garcia
Sam Quick
Zyla Soto-Mitchell
Mariela Cuevas
Aydan Lanning *2nd Alternate
Viola
Daniel Kim
Josephine Clapper
Cello
Adalyn Warren
Birk Hosch
Selena Fuentes
Izaiah Carrillo *2nd Alternate
Bass
Martin Clapper
Onward and Upward,
Hunter Lewis
Director of Instrumental Music
Class of 2025 Sponsor/Grade Level Dean
I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and Visual Performing Arts

Congratulations are in order for Lucia Payton and Serenity Johnson for being recognized for their outstanding artwork as part of the Celebramos Art Recognition program. Their pieces which reflect the theme of "Recognizing Hispanic Women" won an Honorable Mentioned. We look forward to seeing more incredible art from these talented individuals.
