Deerfield Family Weekly Update
August 25, 2024
Principal's Weekly Message
Greetings Deerfield Families,
We had an exciting first week back to school at Deerfield Elementary! It has been a week filled with new experiences, friendships, and learning opportunities.
Highlights of the Week
- New Beginnings: Students have settled into their classrooms and begun to explore their new surroundings. We’ve introduced them to our school routines and expectations.
- Making Friends: It has been heartwarming to see students reconnect with old friends and make new ones. They are already building a supportive community!
- Engaging Activities: From icebreaker games to creative projects, students have participated in various activities designed to spark their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the coming weeks, we will continue to foster a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued. We encourage you to ask your child about their favorite moments from this week and what they are looking forward to learning.
Stay Connected
We believe that communication is key to a successful school year. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way! You can also stay connected with us through our new website! Thank you for your partnership in making this school year a wonderful experience for our students. We look forward to an amazing year ahead!
Educationally yours,
Dr. Bills
Arrival Reminders
As a reminder, please pull all the way forward in carline during morning arrival. This will help us get everyone into the building efficiently.
In the mornings we ask that you say goodbye to your child at the front of the building. We have several staff members supporting in the hallway to ensure our scholars are able to find their lockers and classrooms. This also provides opportunities for our staff to make one-on-one connections with our scholars.
