SAT School Day for Juniors - March 11th
On Tuesday, our juniors will take the SAT during the school day and have a unique opportunity to show their skills and get ready for their next steps for college. We have been working hard during class and on Khan Academy practicing for this day, See the linked flyers for SAT tips – one for Math and one for Reading.
What the Wind is Blowing In
What a week!! We had a phenomenal Falcon Day on Wednesday with lots of community connections, learning opportunities and fun! Check out some of the pictures from this week below. Congrats to our robotics team for doing so well at their very first FRC Robotics competition in Belton this past weekend! They won the Rookie Award and were picked on the alliance that WON the competition. This means that they have qualified for FRC State Robotics in our very first meet and our first year under this competition. It was awesome to see the build from BEST to FIRST and all our group was able to accomplish.
This past week we also completed our lottery draw for our class of 2029! We will be welcoming our biggest class ever and look forward to all the things that growth brings. We are busy already trying new things and planning for growth. Stay tuned for some changes in the 4th nine weeks as we test some processes out before next school year. We are always looking for ways to help our falcons succeed.
With that said, we do want to remind all our falcons of a few things as we head into our last nine weeks.
- For school safety expectations, student IDs must be worn by all students and staff daily.
- We ask students to be mindful of dress code expectations. With the spring and summer weather upon us, we have already started to see violations and ask that students help us put our best professional foot forward by adhering to our district dress code expectations.
- We are finishing up our 3rd nine weeks and headed into our last grading period for the year. We have lots of avenues for tutorials, please your students with staying on top of their grades, assignments and needed success strategies.
- If you still haven't paid for your laptop device insurance, please do so. This will be a hold on your student's account at the end of the year and will hold up transcripts for seniors in this situation.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me anytime at julie.wiley@comalisd.org.
