CES- Principal Message
Happy Sunday, Chameleon Families!
Tomorrow is a holiday for students and staff; there is no school. Tomorrow, January 20th, we will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a leader who dedicated his life to equality, justice, and service. This holiday is not just a day off but a βday onβ β a reminder to reflect on the values Dr. King stood for and to take action to strengthen our communities. We encourage families to participate in a Day of Service by finding ways to give back, whether through volunteering, helping neighbors, or simply spreading kindness. Together, we can continue Dr. Kingβs mission of building a more united and compassionate world.
We are very excited to announce that our new receptionist, Mrs. April, will start on Wednesday. Mrs. April is fluent in English and Spanish and will be a wonderful addition to our Chameleon family. Please welcome her as you visit our front office and be patient as she learns her new role.
We are in Need of Extra Clothes!
During the school day, students will often need a new shirt or new pair of pants or shorts because of mud on the playground, a bloody nose, or a bathroom accident. When students don't have an extra pair of clothes at school, we provide them with extra clothes to wear or call home when we don't have any.
At this time, we don't have many clothes left and don't have any larger size clothes. If you are going through your children's closets and donating clothes, please consider donating any t-shirts or athletic shorts or pants to Carpenter. Thank you!

Learning to play chess is so beneficial to children. It helps them focus, think creatively, learn to accept defeat, win gracefully, and the list goes on. If you are interested in having your 2nd-5th grader learn more about chess or they are already an experienced chess player, please consider joining our chess team. This 12-week program is for both beginners and those who are experienced!
