JUAN'S WORDS: MESSAGE FROM THE SUPER
We’re closing our first month of school and we’ve been so excited to see our students, families, and community members coming together once again. We began this year with a focus on fostering a strong sense of belonging for each and every student. It’s a focus that will continue throughout the year. We are committed to creating a welcoming environment where each child feels valued and supported.
Throughout these first days, it’s been evident that teams of educators had come together to create an environment to support every student to feel safe, welcomed, valued, and ready to learn. From the warm greetings at the front door to the thoughtful classroom activities designed to build relationships and foster inclusion, the energy across all of our schools was truly uplifting.
The foundation for a successful school year is built on strong relationships and a positive school culture. We accomplish this in partnership with our families and community who also deserve a sense of belonging in our schools. This month we’ve seen school open houses, orientation nights, workshops, festivals, and many other family nights and events where staff are engaging and collaborating with families and community members to meaningfully support social, emotional, and educational growth of students. These types of engagement events will continue throughout the school year and we encourage you to join us. One way you can stay connected with us is to follow us on our social media accounts: Facebook and Instagram
Our goal is to ensure high expectations for all students and every day matters for your child’s success. Foundational to high expectations and success is regular school attendance. Attendance is a key predictor of how well students will do in school. Research shows that missing school a lot is linked to problems like failing classes, dropping out, and lower grades. When students are absent often, it becomes harder for them to succeed. Helping students come to class every day is one of the best ways to set them up for success.
We are off to a strong start, prioritizing inclusivity, academic excellence, and safe learning environments. I am confident that together we can maintain this positive momentum throughout the year. Together, we are creating a space where every student feels seen, heard, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
Yours in service,
Juan Larios

ATTENDANCE MATTERS: CONTACT INFO & HOURS
Regular school attendance is critical to keeping kids connected and on the path to success. Please help us by prioritizing regular school attendance. At home, you can help your student by:
- Talking about the importance of going to school every day
- Establishing and maintaining regular routines such as finishing homework and getting a good night sleep
- Scheduling necessary appointments outside of the regular school day when possible
- Communicating with the school when you notice sudden changes in behavior or have questions regarding academic progress or additional supports
By working together, we can create a supportive culture that will help your child be successful!
