Take the March Reading Challenge!
March is National Reading Month! To celebrate, we challenge you to read as many books as possible.
Books can be read by the students or be read to them by someone else. When you finish a book, fill out a book review card. You can get book review cards from your teacher, the Willett office, or print one here. Be sure to write your name and grade level on the back. Adults can assist with filling out book reviews as needed, especially for our youngest readers. Turn your review into your classroom teacher for a chance to win a $10 gift card to the Avid Reader! You have till March 31st.

Upcoming Willett Bike Events
CCE Bike Swap: April 6th
Used but rideable bikes can be donated to the swap and earn money for the Willett PTA bike programs. If you are interested in volunteering or donating, Jill Bonner is your point of contact for this event and very knowledgeable about all things bike in Davis. Willett will receive 75% of the sales price of all donated bikes. You must note your school name on the paperwork. All donated bikes are tax-deductible!
Bike Rodeo: Wednesday, April 23rd
Loopalooza: Sunday, May 4th
Volunteers are needed to help run the various stations around the 12-mile Davis bike loop. Willett (Sycamore Park) is one of the stations each year (station 11). Families are encouraged to participate in this annual event by riding together as a community. More information will come soon but the idea would be for everyone to gather at Willett and then ride the loop together, for community building and fun. We are still updating the website but you can find out more information here: https://www.cityofdavis.org/city-hall/public-works-engineering-and-transportation/bike-pedestrian-program/street-smarts/programs/loopalooza
