Mr. Mayen's Message
Greetings, San Dimas High School Community!
As we enter the week of September 2nd, I hope everyone is enjoying Labor Day weekend. Labor Day is a time to recognize the hard work and dedication that drives our communities forward, and I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible efforts of our students, parents, teachers, and staff here at SDHS.
After the holiday, we’re diving back into our routines, and I encourage everyone to bring the same energy and commitment that we started the year with. This week is an excellent opportunity to refocus on our goals, both academic and personal.
Reminders:
1. Please keep in mind our ongoing efforts to achieve 96% attendance throughout the year yes! we have increased our goal by 1% because I believe in our capacity to meet this lofty goal. Every day counts students, and your presence plays a significant role in your success and the success of our school community.
2. Parents- If you haven't done so already, remember to submit the Education Benefit Form—this small task makes a big difference by ensuring we receive essential Title 1 funding for programs, materials, and personnel that benefit our students. Click here to access the form.
3. Safety: students, please be sure to use the designated cross walks in the front of the school to walk across the student lot to enter campus. Parents/guardians, please observe all traffic laws while on our property and be kind to our campus supervisors who have the awesome responsibility to keep our students, faculty and staff safe.
4. To ensure the well-being and security of all students, we want to emphasize that leaving the campus to go to your vehicles during school hours is strictly prohibited.
We understand that there may be various reasons one might be tempted to leave, but the safety of everyone on campus is our top priority. Please make sure to stay within the school premises throughout the school day.
Your cooperation in adhering to this policy is crucial for maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. If you need assistance or have any concerns, please reach out to the school administration.
