The February enrollment request window for summer school is now closed. The March enrollment window will open Monday, March 3 at 12 p.m. Requests for credit recovery may only be made by a student’s school counselor beginning April 1.

Parent Workshop Available! Supportive Parenting of Anxious Childhood Emotions
This is a parent-focused 7 week program facilitated by 2 HCPSS group leaders. Parents will learn how to modify their own behavior to help reduce anxiety in their child. Group starts week of March 10th. Contact your child's School Counselor or email La_Tanya_Robinson@hcpss.org to sign up or ask questions!

Seniors who are looking for Scholarships-
Students and their families should check the scholarship bulletins linked below frequently for updates. The Financial Aid and Scholarship Database is updated by the county, while the GHS/Local Scholarships are opportunities for GHS students specifically.
Military Information Night at Howard HS March 5th 6-8 PM IN PERSON
Military Academies, ROTC
Representatives from military academies will discuss the unique process to apply as well as the benefits of attending a Military Academy. We encourage students in grades 8-12 to attend this session.
Military Enlistment and Careers
Representatives from each branch of The United States Military will be available to present information about their mission and specialty. You will learn about job opportunities, educational and career pathways, strengths of each branch, the GI bill, career benefits, and ROTC opportunities.
This is an IN-PERSON event at Howard High School.
FAFSA
Attention Families of High School Seniors!
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) becomes available on December 1. We strongly encourage all families to complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA is the primary tool for determining a student’s financial need, enabling access to federal, state and local grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study opportunities. This presentation gives an overview of the NCAA Division I student-athlete recruitment process. Topics of interest include NCAA initial eligibility, the recruitment timeline for high school prospects, and athletics financial aid.
