News & Information
Changes to Building Entry
Thank you to everyone for being flexible this week as we implement the district's new building visitor policy. As a reminder, we are asking everyone who wishes to enter MTMS to present their state-issued identification (Driver's License) to the door camera when requesting access to the building. This includes dropping off items in the foyer as well coming inside for student check outs. Thank you for having your identification ready at the door to help us create secure facilities and protect our students and staff members.
And, a reminder that students who are returning to school from appointments or coming in late whose absence has already been reported do not need to be escorted inside by a parent. Please just send them in to us and we'll get them where they need to be!

We would like to invite you to nominate any teacher whom you consider to be an outstanding and effective educator. This person must have completed 5 years of teaching with at least 2 of them having been in USD 232. If there is a USD 232 educator whom you believe to be outstanding and deserving of special recognition, please use the link below to fill out the nomination form.

From StuCo
Students - Dig out your Spirit Gear!! Wear Wolf Wear to school each Friday in November, and you'll earn a spin on the wheel for a chance at a prize before school!
Thanksgiving Cereal Drive
During the month of November, student council is sponsoring a cereal box drive for the De Soto Food Pantry in the spirit of Thanksgiving. As you drop off your cereal boxes in the morning, on the stage in the commons, you can enter your name in a drawing. At our next pep assembly, we will set the cereal boxes up domino-style, and one lucky winner whose name is drawn will get to push the first box and start the chain. You get to enter your name in the drawing for every box you bring in — one box equals one entry, two boxes two entries, and so on. Let's have fun and support a good cause!

Medication Policy

If your student forgets to take medication before school or you bring medication for your student, you will be asked to stay and administer the medication to your student.
Illness
Please report any symptoms of illness to the school. Please be specific- report symptoms such as sore throat, nausea, fever instead of reporting “ill” or “sick”. Giving symptoms helps with Health Department reporting and to see illness trends in the district.
It is district policy to keep your student home until symptom free/fever free for 24 hours without medication. It will help to prevent the spread of illness.
