Dakota Minute
A lot is happening at Dakota Meadows as we close down the 2023-2024 school year. Here are just a few:
-8th Grade Celebration Day (Thank you PTA!)
-7th Grade State Capitol Trips (Again, thank you PTA)
-6th Grade Field Day
-Talent Show (first time in 5 years)
All of these enrichment opportunities make me grateful to the principal of a school with great students, staff, and families. Thank for what each of you have done to contribute to a great year at DMMS.
Thank you for your patience with our construction. The temporary construction road built on the east side has been helpful with traffic flow and deliveries.

On Wednesday, June 5th, and Thursday, June 6th the Minnesota State Softball Tournament will be held at Caswell Park, which differs from previous years. Games Wednesday will begin at 10 a.m. and continue into the early evening so afternoon pick-up will be affected by the extra traffic. On Thursday, games start at 9 a.m. and again go into the evening so both morning and afternoon drop off and pick up will be impacted.
To help manage the extra traffic on Howard Drive the school district is working closely with North Mankato Public Safety and the MN State High School League. Due to this extra congestion, Public Safety and the School District recommend utilizing the Caswell North Soccer parking lot to keep you away from the Howard Drive area. Traffic delays for DMMS families that travel to this area on June 5th and 6th will be increased and expect to experience longer than usual wait times.
We ask that you please be patient with traffic control staff as they try to keep everyone safe.
Due to the office construction this summer, you may see temporary distruptions when trying to contact the DMMS Office on June 7th and 10th. **This may also happen intermitently as construction occurs during the summer.

If you do need to visit DMMS in the summer, please note we will have limited entrances and parking. Please keep a look out for signs and updates as to entrance and parking changes.
