Seeking New D67 Board Member
8th Grade Nashville Night
Dear DPM Families,
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Thanks to the generosity of our APT & partnership with D67 Administration, a week of fun-filled activities and events are planned for our DPM Staff. While it is not expected for families to provide gifts to staff, if you are planning to share your appreciation to a staff member we do ask that you drop off any items to the respective offices. Staff will be informed they have received an item from a parent and will be able to pick-up during non-instructional time.
Thank you so much for your continued support of our amazing teachers and staff. We could not be more grateful to work with such a talented group of teachers!!
Lastly, the ABC Countdown continues. Check the calendar for daily themes!
Sincerely,
Megan Eigenrauch, 5/6 Principal
Sam Paulsen, 7/8 Principal

Board of Education Seeks New Member - District 67
District 67 Board of Education announced the resignation of Mrs. Alice LeVert, effective April 30. The Board is grateful to Mrs. LeVert, who has served since 2017, for her contributions to the District and wish her well in her newly elected position on the Lake Forest City Council.
Following the Illinois School Code, the responsibility for filling the vacant position now rests with the remaining board members. They have a 60-day window from Mrs. LeVert's resignation date to accomplish this task. Failure to fill the position within this timeframe will shift the responsibility to the Regional Superintendent of Schools.
The Board encourages all interested and qualified individuals that wish to serve on the Board to submit an application. Completed applications must be received by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Once the Board of Education has reviewed the applications, selected candidates will be interviewed, and an appointee will be installed at the District 67 Board Meeting on June 18, 2024.
NEW Walk Your Wheels Video From the City of Lake Forest
Walk your wheels applies to everyone, Lake Forest! Riders must dismount and walk their devices within the Central Business District boundaries to avoid a fine of up to $300 per offense. Last year, Lake Forest City Council approved an ordinance prohibiting the use of recreational powered devices (electric scooters, electric bikes, etc.) on sidewalks in the Central Business District.

Class of 2024 News:
Today is the deadline for 8th Grade students to submit community service hours. Students have been reminded several times to fill this out by the principals. Here is the link to the Google Form if your students still needs it:
All students who complete their 6 acts or 6 or more hours of community service by May 3 are invited to a special recognition breakfast on May 15 at 7:50 am. Email invitations were sent to families by the office.
Graduation Party Permission Form - Parents must give their permission for their student(s) to attend this event. Please do so by filling out this quick form.
On Friday, May 24, from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm, the APT's 8th Grade Committee will host a pre-graduation celebration for everyone in the 8th-grade class at The Farm System at 921 Sherwood Dr. in Lake Bluff (next to Lake Forest Pediatrics).
This fun night is Country Themed! Western dress is encouraged but not required—your child should wear what makes them most comfortable! Light refreshments will be served.
Drop-off and pick-up for the event will happen in the back of the building. Space in the rear parking lot is a little tight, so carpooling is encouraged. A parent/guardian must drop off and pick up. Students are not allowed to ride their bikes or walk. We will also be collecting cell phones from the kids. They will be collected at check-in, labeled, and tucked away for the duration of the celebration and returned at the end of the evening. We will have photographers on hand to capture pictures of the students that will be posted to a shared drive after the event and sent out.
Thank you!
