A Message from Mr. Wright

Dear Fitzgerald Elementary Community,

As we wrap up mid-year testing, it's time to connect with your child's classroom teacher to learn about their assessment results and progress so far. Let's celebrate the growth that our students have made. If there's a need for more progress, let's connect with the teachers to find ways to support our children's learning journey.

**Celebrating Black History**

This month, we're celebrating Black History. Join us in participating in our reading and spirit week activities to honor and learn about the contributions and history of the Black community.

**Counselor Appreciation Week - February 5-9**

Let's take this opportunity to celebrate our wonderful school counselors for their invaluable support to our community. They play a vital role in our students' lives, and we're grateful for all that they do.

**Looking Ahead**

Our school has flourished academically this year, and we are building momentum as we prepare for end-of-year testing and growth celebrations. Our dynamite staff ensures that the light shines bright from within your child daily.

Listed below are the dates for the upcoming SOL tests. Plan appointments around these dates. You will notice that this year, math and reading sols will be taken over 2 days. Last year, the math and reading tests were all taken in one day.
