We had a busy and exciting week at Freedom!

Our 8th-grade students completed the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) this past week. We are incredibly proud of their focus and effort during testing, and we’re excited to see how much growth they have made in the area of science.

We also launched our new morning and ID procedures, and we’re thrilled to share that 94% of our students arrived with their ID ready to go! Thank you for your support in reinforcing this routine at home. A reminder that students are expected to wear their ID on a lanyard around their neck as they enter the building each morning.

Additionally, our students and staff were proud to take part in the District 100 Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new District Education Center. We are excited about the opportunities this new space will bring, including a beautiful outdoor classroom area that will be part of Freedom Middle School’s campus!

May 5th thru 9th is National Teacher Appreciation Week! Freedom Middle School will be honoring our teachers by hosting a variety of events throughout the school day.

Please consider joining the PTSA at Freedom Middle School. The PTSA is a membership based advocacy association that builds community between schools and families. Join today to have your voice heard! The PTSA is for everyone! Parents, guardians, students, and teachers are all welcome to join. No commitment is required! If you want to volunteer, that’s great, but your support as a member is enough. Studies have shown that students who attend schools with a PTSA have higher rates of academic success, and the more members in the PTSA, the higher the overall success!

Students will wear P.E. uniforms beginning August 29th. P.E. uniforms are for sale in the Freedom Office.
