Dragons of the Month
Congratulations, Ethan and Emma!
The Dragon of the Month for grades K-3 shows the Dragon Way each and every day. This month, it is awarded to Kaycee. Kaycee is always kind and respectful. She always has a nice thing to say to each of her classmates, and she makes sure that everyone is involved in activities and games. Kaycee is the first to help others when they need it. She consistently helps to clean up. She is responsible with her belongings and takes responsibility for her actions.
Kaycee has integrity when she admits she has done something wrong and apologizes when she needs to. She always tries her best in the classroom and helps ensure the safety of herself and others. Kaycee respects herself, her classmates, her teachers, and the school. Kaycee is safe, respectful, and responsible, showing everyone what it means to follow the Dragon Way. Congratulations, Kaycee!
Sarah meets the qualities of the Dragon Way. She is responsible and always has her homework done and done well. She helps others whenever they need help. Sarah respects others in the classroom, as well as other teachers, paras, custodian, and cooks. She promotes safety and is careful in all things. She has made much progress this school year in every area of her life and has encouraged others to do the same. Sarah is the Dragon of the Month for grades 4-6 for the month of February. Congratulations!
A Note from Ms. Munro
Dear McClusky-Goodrich Families,
I hope everyone is enjoying some of this beautiful springlike weather. We have some exciting news! The school board voted to transition sixth graders up to the high school. This means that for the 2025-2026 school year, the current fifth and sixth-grade classes will be at the high school. We want to make this a smooth and easy transition for our learners. Ms. Bussman, Mrs. Wahlen and Miss Potts are working together to develop a plan so that everyone feels comfortable and prepared come this fall. More information will be sent to parents.
The school board is in the exploratory/information-seeking phase of considering a four-day school week. A committee has been formed and will meet next week. The 2025-2026 school year will be a regular five-day week. Again, there is no confirmation that we will be transitioning to a four-day school week; we are exploring the possibility for the 2026-2027 school year.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Proud to be your Superintendent and Elementary Principal,
Kara Munro
