LTUSD Newsletter
May 20, 2024
Greetings LTUSD friends and families,
We inaugurated five people into the LTUSD District Hall of Distinction. It was a wonderful ceremony with heartfelt comments about their outstanding contributions to the District. Following the induction ceremony, the Lake Tahoe Education Foundation (LTEF) hosted a Celebration of Education event at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course. The evening was magical and the weather was perfect. The jazz band entertained everyone on the patio while the culinary students served wonderful appetizers and student performers entertained throughout the evening.
Superintendent Cutler announced the Employees of the Year and Hall of Distinction inductees were presented with their crystal vases. Many people remarked that it was a true Celebration of Education. I would like to thank everyone who attended and everyone who helped to make the celebrations memorable events.
The Celebration of Education was hailed by many as a true testament to the spirit of excellence and camaraderie within LTUSD. We extend our gratitude to LTEF and all who attended the event. A special thank you to everyone who contributed to making the Celebration of Education truly unforgettable.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication to the LTUSD community!

IN THE SCHOOLS:
Meet the Amazing Sierra House School Secretaries!
During a recent visit to Sierra House Elementary (SH), I had the pleasure of spending time with two extraordinary members of the elementary team, secretaries Misha Mattson and Stacey Holmes. Their passion for their work and dedication to serving SH students and staff left a lasting impression on me.
Their genuine love for what they do shines through in every interaction, reflecting their deep commitment to SH. Stacey remarked that this is the first time in her life that she has had the privilege of working alongside such a genuinely happy and supportive staff. Stacey started out volunteering at SH and recently transitioned to working at SH. Stacey enjoys skiing and all of the activities around Lake Tahoe. She has two boy and they are a very active family.
Misha Mattson has worked at Sierra SH off and on over the last eight years and reports that she works with a great team. The team laughs a lot and enjoy making the lives of SH students better. Misha has lived in South Lake Tahoe for 22 years and loves summer the most, although she does enjoy snowshoeing. Misha’s daughter attended SH.
Keep up the fantastic work, Team! Your dedication and positivity are truly commendable. Pictured are Misha, Stacey, and Dory.
