September 29th, 2024
Join us as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary!
Valhalla will be celebrating its 50th Homecoming football game on Friday, October 4th. The Valhalla Norsemen, under head coach Wayne Cherry, will take on the Santana Sultans; junior varsity play at 4:30pm and varsity kicks-off at 7:00pm. The Homecoming theme this year is "Golden Anniversary" and the homecoming court will be crowned during the half-time show. Tickets can be purchased in advance on GoFan.co for $11 or at the gate for $10 with cash.
Valhalla Alumni can enter the game for FREE if they complete THIS FORM by October 4th at 2pm.
Valhalla is opening its doors on Saturday, October 5th from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Bring the entire family for a picnic on the East Lawn and take a nostalgic stroll through the "Halls of Valhalla" and see how our campus has evolved over the years. Skim through old yearbooks, enjoy delicious bites from local food trucks, and take memorable photos with Mjollnir, Thor’s Hammer.
This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, reminisce about the good times, and create new memories with your family.
Limited edition shirts are available for purchase. Shirts are limited in quantity, please order early. Shirts can be picked up at the Homecoming game (during the 1st and 2nd quarter) and at the Alumni Picnic on October 5. We are not able to ship. Click HERE to reserve your today!

Advanced Placement (AP) Exams
AP Exam ordering begins this week and ends on November 4th!
- Order forms are available from your AP teacher as well as the Finance Office.
- Students must be registered in AP Classroom in order to purchase an exam. Ask your AP Teacher to verify AP Classroom registration.
- Exam payment must be submitted in person at the Finance Office before 4:00pm on November 4th to avoid the $40 late fee (per exam).
- Additional details can be found on the AP page of the VHS website.
Students and parents/guardians with questions related to exam registration should contact Assistant Principal Kuhlken at vkuhlken@guhsd.net. Questions about Valhalla's Honors/AP program and/or AP Classroom registration should be addressed to Bill Lourey, Valhalla's GATE Coordinator, at blourey@guhsd.net.
Student Attendance
If your student is absent, Attendance Notification Calls are sent out at approximately 11:30am and 5pm daily. If you are not receiving these calls, you may want to make sure the Valhalla High School phone number is not blocked on your phone.
Also, we recommend you download the Infinite Campus Parent App. You will receive notifications regarding your student's attendance on a period by period basis.
Chromebook Insurance Deadline: October 1st
The last day to purchase insurance for your student chromebook is Tuesday, October 1st. If you are a new VHS student, you can buy insurance for the 30 days after you started school.
