Hello Alder Families!
Let’s welcome May by continuing to embrace, engage and educate our students with lots of great things happening at Alder!
We would like to recognized Ms. Priestley and her students for their dedication to the Hispanohablantes program. Egg Harbor Township School District is proud to recognize 25 years of heritage language programs for our Spanish-speaking students. Our Hispanohablantes program has been selected as a Model Program by the New Jersey Department of Education.
Congratulations to the Alder Wind Ensemble, which received a gold rating at the Big Apple Classic in New York City this past weekend. Students competed at Felician University, and then were able to see the Broadway Musical Back to the Future. Congratulations also go out to Kayden Wood for receiving the soloist award at the competition!
This week our students began their NJSLA testing. They worked hard and showed their grit and determination while taking the test. Keep up the great work students. We will continue with testing next week.
Thank you to Mr. Baumgartel and his art classes for showcasing their creativity and artistic talents during the All-District Art Show. The amazing works of art done by our students were on full display at the community center this week. This amazing works of art will continue to be on display for the next two weeks so don’t miss your chance!
