Hi Church

We are continuing our series on the sermon on the mount this weekend. Charlie Klepadlo will be preaching the series text this Sunday. Charlie works with Cru, a college campus ministry that works on helping people grow in their relationship with Christ. He has been working with graduate students all over college campuses in the Maryland area. Charlie was also sent out from Faith Alliance Church about 35 years ago to work with Cru. We are grateful for his ministry and relationship with the church.

Also, just as an encouragement to be reading the Scriptures, I was shown this study this week that there are tangible benefits to reading your Bible 5 days a week.

● Praise the Lord for Trevor Skalberg’s message to the church last Lord’s Day. Pray for Charlie Klepadlo as he brings us the message this week.

● Pray for lead Pastor John Eger as he continues his preaching series on the Sermon on the Mount.

● Pray for Peace and Safety across America through the upcoming election season.

● Praise the Lord for Jess Bryant’s sharing with us last Sunday. Praise the Lord for her safe return to Japan this week to take up her missionary assignment.

● Praise the Lord for all who have stepped up to meet Dawn Mattera’s need for transport in Romania as she is without a car. Praise the Lord for the access she has had to the orphanages.

● Pray for Stan, Jaynee and Caleb Walker in their final week of preparation to return to Senegal from Georgia.

● Praise the Lord for our Art and Music Fun Shop for children that has reached out to our community in July. Praise the Lord for all the volunteers for this ministry.

● Pray for office manager Amy Pelletier’s recovery from knee replacement surgery this week. Pray also for Judy Partridge’s upcoming knee surgery.

● Pray for Mark Hathaway as he fills in for Amy in August.

● Pray for our church finances - that our giving will begin to meet our budget needs.

I think of all of the food I have access to, the waste of food that we all have, and this photo shows what it is like to be truly hungry, as this woman is picking up every stray kernel of corn after the corn distribution yesterday.

May we all be truly thankful for the blessings in our lives AND generous to those in need, here in America and around the world that we have access to.

A sincere heartfelt thank you to all who gave generously to provide these food distributions to the hungry this year in Burkina through the Engage Burkina food fund raiser. And thank you to all who pray faithfully for the Envision CMA and Engage Burkina ministries in Burkina.
