Mr. Moreira, Mrs. Cunha, and Mrs. St. Onge having some holiday fun at the North Dartmouth Mall last Saturday. Students performed beautifully and FES delivered the many, many donated toys for Toys for Tots. Thank you!

News in and around Freetown Elementary School

Happy New Year! Freetown Elementary School hopes all families and friends of FES had a restful, peaceful, and memorable holiday season as well as a great start to 2025. With that said, our school wide goal this week and next is to ensure that our students maintain a safe learning environment. One that uses rituals, routines, and appropriate responses to create and maintain a safe physical and intellectual environment where students are free to take academic risks. As one can imagine, coming back to school after a holiday vacation can be exciting and at times tiresome, a bit sad, and/or filled with anxiety. Please know, we can reassure you that in a short time our scholars will be ready to make 2025 an exciting year filled with lots of learning.

πŸ† Gymnasium Floor Refinished πŸ€

Over the winter break the FES gymnasium floor was refinished. Huge thank you to the Town Administration, Mr. Strauss, Mr. Goodwin, and Mr. Higgins for their advocacy for this project and the full support we received from the Freetown Town Administration. THANK YOU!

Gentle Reminder...Inclement Weather

As we prepare for the winter season we will continue to use the Thrillshare Communication System to provide families with the necessary school cancellation and delay information. In addition to Thrillshare, we will utilize the school website and all local media outlets to communicate information in a timely manner for our families in Freetown and Lakeville.

Attendance Matters

Attendance Matters Weekly Update:

Goal: 94% of the Student Population will attend school daily.

December Daily Student Attendance indicated that 94% of students attended daily. GOAL MET! Let's keep that momentum going into January.

PTO Meetings are held in person and virtually. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 13th beginning at 6:30 PM. The meeting invitation for those attending virtually will be sent out the week prior to the meeting.
