Three Hadley Junior High 8th grade students, Alessia D’Argento, Helen Manak and Tess Reinmann, were seated as student representatives on the Board. Each student will represent one of the grade levels at Hadley and will serve for the remainder of this school year.

Dr. Jeff McHugh provided an update to his Entry Plan, January 1 - September 30, 2024. Board members complimented Dr. McHugh on the presentation and the work completed during the various phases of the plan.

Dr. McHugh provided an update on the Kindergarten Center project, Kindergarten Community Feedback Forums, and pre-registration for kindergarten this coming year. In addition, he shared the process for a Strategic Plan review in the coming months.

Policy Revisions | watch

Dr. Miko presented a number of policy revisions and expanded on the safety policy with his thoughts based on the PRESS recommendations related to district safety coordinator positions as well as School Resources Officer (SRO) roles.

Kindergarten Center Change Order | watch

Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter explained the process for change orders and the need for action on a larger dollar amount item. It is a timely request that is on the agenda for action. He also discussed details about the demolition of remaining homes near the kindergarten center site.

Director of Innovation and Technology Andrew Peterman explained the process for the annual Chromebook purchase.
