Explaining Veterans Day to Preschoolers
To explain Veterans Day to young children, you can describe it as a special day when we honor and thank all the brave men and women who have served in the military. You can tell them that veterans are like superheroes who have helped keep us safe and free. It's a good time to teach children about respect, gratitude, and the importance of showing appreciation for others. In the article Explaining Veterans Day to Preschoolers, they highlight keywords young children can begin to connect with, including bravery, patriotism, service, veterans, and celebrate.
