Welcome Back

Hello ASE Parents,

I haven't had the chance to formally introduce myself to each of you. My name is Courtney Katkoski and I am thrilled to be leading Anderson-Shiro Elementary. I am a proud Christian, Aggie, mother of two precious girls, and wife to my husband, Jeremy. I have been meeting with staff and leaders throughout the district and region in preparation for our upcoming school year. We are excited to have your babies back on campus in just over a week. If I haven't already, I am looking forward to meeting you and your family. It is going to be an amazing year!

First Week of School Information

Parents are welcome to walk their children into school and to their classrooms on the first two days of school. We ask that parents give hugs and say goodbye at the exterior doors on Friday so we can get adjusted to our new routine and have our first Morning Assembly.

Arrival & Dismissal Information: Car Riders

Please remember to follow the car rider arrival and dismissal procedures to help with traffic flow, fairness to all those waiting, and timelines for staff.

Follow the car rider map below—NO turning off of 149 into the car rider line.

Arrival drop-off: 7:25-7:45. The tardy bell is at 7:45 this year.

Dismissal pick-up: 3:30-3:50. You must be at school by 3:50 to pick up your child.

August 12th - Meet the Teacher from 4:30 - 6 pm
August 14th - First Day of School (school begins at 7:45 am)
August 26th - Parent Orientation (attend 5:00 - 5:25 or 5:30 - 6 pm)
August 26th - Watch DOGS Orientation at 6 pm
September 2nd - Labor Day (no school)
September 3rd - PTO Meeting
September 9th - Grandparent Breakfast (student's last name begins with A - L)
September 10th - Grandparent Breakfast (student's last name begins with M - Z)
September 11th - First Responders Day

Pre-K Playdate

Pre-K Playdate was a hit! Thank you to all of our families that came out. A BIG thank you to our wonderful Pre-K teachers, Mrs. Lolley and Mrs. Mock. We know it will be a wonderful year!
