Dear Parents/Carers,
This week, our KS1 pupils have had the most fantastic time at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. They were extremely lucky and managed to see every animal which is rare. The children came back over the moon to have seen a baby rhino only a few months old! Thankfully, the weather held for most of the day. The pupils are now spending time writing up their experience.
Pupils in Year 6 have returned from their three day residential today and again, have had the most amazing time. They have experienced a wide range of activities from canoeing to wall climbing and zip wiring. This experience really supports our older children with resilience, independence and social awareness. I am extremely proud of how they have tackled everything and know that this will remain with them for a very long time. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who have given up their time away from home to enable this opportunity and thank you to all parents for supporting us in making this event happen.
A Few Memorable Moments
This week, our Year 4 pupils sat the statutory Multiplication Check Test and our Year 1 pupils sat the statutory Phonics Screening Checks. Each and every pupil showed resilience and maturity and again, I express how very proud I am of their achievements. The pupils have faired extremely well and have done themselves and you proud. All results will be shared with parents in the forthcoming weeks.
