Weekly Update
October 3, 2024
From the Principal
Dear Aquin Families,
This has been a busy and exciting week for us! We have new playground choices, and it seems that, so far, we are really enjoying our new airplane teeter-totter and the Gaga Ball Pit! We were able to get these items thanks to the Aquin Open donation this year.
We have also joined forces with Pearl City High School through our Servant Leaders to help out Canton, a small community in North Carolina that was devastated by Hurricane Helene. We have donation fliers going home Friday and a picture of it in this newsletter. We will be collecting items until October 7th. This is a short turn around because the help they need is immediate and we want to get our items there as fast as possible. Any amount helps, whether monetary or items. The class that has the most donations will earn a free Jeans Day. If you are unable to contribute items or a monetary donation, please remember those affected by this terrible storm in your prayers.
We will have our October dress up day next week on Thursday. Students are permitted to wear any color dress pants this year, not just black. Girls are allowed to wear skirts or dresses that come down to the tips of the fingertips and are not overly tight or form fitting. I can't wait to see all of the fancy outfits!
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Heitkamp
