Mason Fox Ball Hockey Tournament - Charity Donations
February 1, 2025
The Oakstead Elementary P.E. Department is putting together our 2nd Annual Fox Strong Ball Hockey Tournament in honor of one of our students, Mason Fox, who lost his battle with leukemia earlier this year. Although this tournament is for students grades 3-5 to compete in, any OES family is able to make donations and come out to support our intermediate students.
ALL donations will be divided between The Mason Fox Charity Foundation as well as financial support for Dr. Claudia Steinacker and Ms. Letty Merino who are fighting their battles with this horrible disease.
Donations may be made via cash, Rycor or checks made out to OES from now through February 1st, 2025. We appreciate your support and generosity!
NEHS Food Drive
The OES chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society is sponsoring a food drive for the month of January. We are collecting non-perishable food items for the Thomas Promise Foundation, which provides food for students around Pasco County that are facing food insecurity. This organization was founded by a Pasco County student and her family. Please bring items to the front office and the media center this until January 24th. Thank you for your contribution!

Parent lunch with Students
We are not permitted to bring food from outside restaurants and fast food places into the cafeteria. You are welcome to bring lunch from one of these places when you are eating in the Otter Pond with your student, though. Please do not drop off food in the front office to be delivered to your child for lunch or use any food delivery services to do the same. We will have to turn these away and would hate to waste food and money. Thank you for understanding and adhering to this district policy.
Signing Students out Early
Students who need to be signed out early for the day should be signed out by 3:15 p.m. at the latest. After that point, they will not be called up to the office until they have arrived in their designated dismissal room. We are unable to call students down to the office before parents arrive, as safety is our priority and ID's are required.
