TSD Weekly Newsletter
November 8, 2024
Dear OneTroy,
On behalf of the Troy School District, I want to thank you for your support in passing our district’s non-homestead operating millage and our hold harmless millage.
Your commitment to our schools and students is deeply appreciated, and this critical funding will help us continue to provide the world-class education that our community values. The Troy School District has a long-standing history of well-supported ballot initiatives, and I am grateful for your continued support and partnership.
In addition to the successful millage renewal, congratulations to the three candidates who earned a spot on our Board of Education. The term for these seats will run from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2030.
Congratulations to the newly elected trustees:
- Audra Melton
- Ayesha Potts
- Stephanie Zendler
Our new members will be sworn in prior to the January 2025 Board of Education meeting.
Please join me in thanking our outgoing board members. Gary Hauff, who has served on the board for an impressive 26 years, Karl Schmidt, with 13 years, and Nicole Wilson, with 6 years, each leave behind a legacy of dedication and commitment to Troy’s students and families. Their tireless efforts and steadfast leadership have helped shape the district into what it is today. As they move on to new chapters in their lives, their legacy will remain a vital part of Troy School District’s story.
Kind regards,
Dr. Rich Machesky
Superintendent
