Hello, CMS Parents/Guardians! This newsletter is an update of what is going on at CMS this week.

We only have two weeks before we go home for winter break AND our first semester ends!

Merit day letters will be sent home at the end of this week. These letters will notate how many days your student will have off of school for their grades/attendance during the first semester.

DECEMBER ASSEMBLY FUN!

GUEST SPEAKER, NOAH WASHINGTON

Noah Washington from the Ridin' Around Show (YouTube) spoke to our 5th & 6th grade students about what it takes to be a content creator and how he created his show. It was a great assembly!

CAREER EXPLORATION EXPO

Our career coach, Mrs. Freeman, organized a great event for our 7th & 8th grade students last week! Students rotated throughout different stations to hear from a variety of professionals who educated students on some career paths available to them upon high school graduation. A big thank you to Mrs. Freeman, our guests, CMS staff, and the CHS seniors who came over and helped with the event!

Organizations/careers present: ABB, Arkansas State Troopers, Automation, AWL (American Welding Laboratories), cardiac sonography (ATU- Ozark), UAMS-West, and Designer Barber School
