Mariachi de Oro received straight ones at the UIL Mariachi Region Festival! This is the highest rating from each judge, which earned them sweepstakes, and they are also headed to the State Mariachi Festival in Seguin!

Also, congratulations to Lubbock High's Mariachi Los Vaqueros for receiving sweepstakes as well! They put on a FANTASTIC performance.

What an incredible showing for Lubbock High Choir! These students poured their hearts into every note, and their' hard work, dedication, and passion truly shined. A huge thank you to our supportive parents and family, Mr. Hamby, our private instructors Mrs. Burton and Mr. Bailey, as well as everyone who cheered them on!

Lubbock High's Echo Ancell has been awarded a $1,500 scholarship from Complex Community Federal Credit Union for their incredible art mural, now proudly displayed at CCFCU’s new location!

Congrats to our Mock Trial team for advancing to the finals in the regional Mock Trial tournament! Let’s cheer them on as they compete next week!

In her first-ever pageant, Hannah impressed the judges with her confidence and poise, earning the title in this scholarship-based competition. Now, she’s preparing for the Miss Texas Teen competition in June and using her platform to promote youth activism through Civic Spark.

Attention Students: If you wish to take Fire Academy (12 only), Welding I (10-12), or Cosmetology I (11), in 2025-2026, you must complete an interest form or application for these courses. These forms can be found by following this LINK. Deadline: February 7 (If you complete an interest form, please let your counselor know so they can include this course request in your plan.)

The Doyle Vogler Memorial Scholarship honors a longtime teacher and administrator in Lubbock ISD. Vogler touched the lives of countless students and staff over his 30-year career in the district. He was passionate about the district’s mission of nurturing, developing, and inspiring every child, every day and was deeply committed to educational equity for all students.

These $2,500 scholarships are awarded to support the educational goals of Lubbock ISD students that embody the Lubbock ISD mission, vision, and values.
