Illahee Middle School
Volume 9, February 24, 2020
A Message from the Principal
The month has February has been a busy, yet exciting month for Illahee! Earlier this month, our Girls and Boys Wrestling teams celebrated another District Wrestling Championship title! Congratulations to our scholar-athletes, Head Coach Matt Young, and the rest of our hard-working coaching staff - we are proud of you!
Last week, our Band program performed at the Decatur High School feeder pattern concert. Our scholars performed two incredible songs, showcasing their skill and teamwork! I'd like to thank Director Ron Hazenberg for his vision and dedication to our program. If you have yet to see one of our incredible band concerts, I encourage you to attend our upcoming Spring Band Concert on Wednesday, March 4 at 6:30 pm.
Please give us a call if you have any questions! You can contact our Main Office at 253-945-4600.
Proud to be a Brave,
Brianna Ward
Proud Principal
Attendance Matters!
Reminder: Student technology and valuables at school
In recognition of parent/guardian decisions regarding the safety and communication needs of their families, the following expectations are placed into effect so as to establish and create a positive and productive learning environment. The possession and use of personal and school electronic or telecommunications devices (such as, but not limited to, phones, tablets, iPads, watches, pens, and recording devices), must not pose a threat to academic integrity, disrupt the learning environment or violate the privacy rights of others. (FWPS Policy 3245).
In recent months, we've seen an increase of air pods and other expensive technology lost or stolen while students are at school. We want to remind families that bringing technology such as this is at the responsibility and risk of the student. The School and District shall not be responsible for the loss, theft or damage/destruction of such devices brought onto the property or school sponsored events.
