Looking for Ways to Embed Career Readiness in the Classroom?
Pathful Connect is an online platform that connects K-12 educators and students with industry professionals for virtual career exploration and real-world learning experiences. It allows teachers to bring guest speakers, mentors, and career role models into their classrooms through live video interactions. The goal is to help students explore various career paths, develop skills, and gain insights from professionals across different industries.
To help students transition to the summer, we have assigned every student 2 lessons:
-1. (45 min) Job Seeking Skills – Resume Building (Students will be able to build their resume through this program)
-2. (40 min) Careers and Your Interest Assessment
Attached you will find directions for the students. The assignments are available right on their dashboard! Please consider having your students log into Pathful to complete these lessons. They will be self-directed through the lesson as they complete each activity.

California College & Career Access Pathways (CCAP)
The California College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) Program at Southwestern College is an Advanced Scholastic and a Career and Technical Education Program that allows high school students in 9th through 12th grade to apply for dual enrollment at Southwestern College (SWC).
Every academic year, over 400 SUHSD students are enhancing their high school education and are earning college credit at the same time, thanks to a unique collaborative effort between the Sweetwater Union High School District, other surrounding charter schools, private schools and Southwestern College.
As part of the CCAP program, students are getting more mileage from after-school classes, like Psychology and Art. These "two-for-one" classes allow students to earn elective credits at the high school level and build up college credits that are transferable to Southwestern College or any University of California or California State University campus. Students accomplish all this without ever leaving their home campus.
Math Field Day 2025

Congressional Art Awards
Congratulations to our SUHSD Students
The Congressional Art Competition, also known as the Congressional Art Award, is an annual visual art contest for high school students in the United States. It is sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives and has been held each spring since 1982. High school students (grades 9–12) who live in or attend school in a participating congressional district submit original artwork to their U.S. representative’s office, following specific guidelines and deadlines (which vary slightly by district). Art is typically judged by a panel of local artists, art educators, or other qualified professionals.
Winning Prize:
