Veteran's Day Parade
CIS, in conjunction with the American Legion and Chapin area elementary schools, will be hosting a Veteran's Day Parade on Nov. 11th. We would love to have the opportunity to honor relatives of our CIS students who are veterans for their service. If you, or a relative, are a veteran and would like to participate, please fill out this form.
The parade will begin when the American Legion riders arrive. Their anticipated arrival time is 9:08. We ask that all parade participants be lined up along Old Bush River Rd., just before the entrance to Chapin Transportation, no later than 9:00AM.
We look forward to the opportunity to celebrate and thank you for your service.
Career Development Week
We are so excited to celebrate National Career Development Week here at CIS! We will have a daily career spotlight during the morning announcements November 12th-15th. There will be a career spotlight graphic on next weeks Flight Log. Parents, we encourage you to discuss with your student the career spotlight graphic or your students career aspirations. We will also have dress as your career day on November 13th. Get as creative as you can, CIS! Please reach out to Ms. LeMoine with any further questions.
November Character Education
For the month of November, we will focus on the trait of self control. We encourage students to show self control by managing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a healthy and learning-centered way. Teachers will be encouraging this character trait throughout the month too. They will be on the lookout for students that show self control well. We will have our November winners announced towards the end of the month.
Reminders: These winners will also be highlighted in Flight Log and be on the TV screens in the CIS building.
