In support of the DeSoto ISD mission, DeSoto ISD Library program’s mission is to help each student excel and achieve maximum potential by creating a 21st-century learning environment, fostering a love of reading, and promoting the effective use of information and communications technology.

Through collaboration, the library media faculty partners with the larger DeSoto ISD community to empower students in becoming lifelong learners, responsible citizens, and industrious problem solvers.

LIBRARY CATALOG - Destiny is a student-friendly search interface that is designed to help students, teachers, and parents search for books in the EMS media center collection, view book covers, see the availability, and call number of search results. Visit our website to access Destiny from anywhere. Searches can be performed without usernames and passwords.

Books! Books! And More Books! - We are still a book provider! We can still provide online resources for patrons. We have eBooks, audiobooks, and interactive books available through our online catalog, Destiny. Check out a book from anywhere you have internet access. Students will need their username and password to check out an online resource.

Reference Support - There is a lot of misinformation out there. We help our patrons by locating and providing the most updated, reliable resources. Links to research tools, Britannica, Ebsco, Gale Infotrac, and other resources, are available on the library website.

VIRTUAL LIBRARY - Please visit your campus virtual library or campus library website to learn more about your library, access, ebooks, search the library catalog, and much more. Check with the librarian username and password information. Links to all resources can be found on the library website.

Visit your campus Virtual Library on your campus website for a selection of virtual activities. Our online virtual library has links to virtual activities including virtual reading rooms, virtual escape rooms, podcasts, calming rooms, virtual field trips and read alouds by staff and friends.

Our online library provides access to our Virtual Helpdesk, Library Newsletter, Destiny Circulation System (access to eBooks, audiobooks and interactive resources), read alouds, and campus Zoom links for booktalks.
