🏆 Congratulations to Elizabeth Gomez! 🏆
We are excited to announce that Elizabeth Gomez, a 2nd grader at Miller Elementary, won 1st place in the county division of the School Bus Safety Poster Contest! 🚌🎨 Her creative and thoughtful artwork stood out among many entries, highlighting the importance of school bus safety.
A huge thank you to Ms. Emily Simmons for encouraging and guiding our students in this meaningful competition. Congratulations, Elizabeth, on this fantastic achievement—we are so proud of you! 🎉👏
Student Spotlight: Coleman Hubbard’s Incredible Reading Achievement!
Wow! A huge congratulations to Coleman Hubbard for reaching an incredible milestone—reading 200 books! 📚🎉 Your dedication to stories and learning is truly inspiring. Every page turned is a step into new adventures, and we can’t wait to see where your reading journey takes you next. Keep up the amazing work, Coleman—we are so proud of you! 👏✨
Young Men of Honor Club Gains Valuable Lessons from Mr. Watkins
This month, Mr. Antonio Watkins met with a group of boys from our Young Men of Honor Club for an inspiring and practical session on life and leadership. Over lunch, they engaged in meaningful discussions about character, confidence, and success. The group then put their learning into action by practicing essential skills such as firm handshakes, maintaining eye contact, and vocal projection—key elements that will help them stand out in any setting.
Thank you, Mr. Watkins, for your dedication and for pouring into the students at MES with wisdom and real-world skills! Your impact is truly appreciated.
Fourth Graders Celebrate Georgia Day with Special Guests
We would like to extend a special thank you to the Daughters of the American Revolution for visiting our fourth-grade students in honor of Georgia Day! 🇺🇸✨ Students had the opportunity to learn about their connection to the American Revolution and discover fascinating facts about Georgia’s rich history. It was an engaging and educational experience that left our students excited to learn more.
We truly appreciate your time and dedication, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to Miller Elementary!
Black History Month Celebration
This February we celebrated Black History Month with a variety of activities that provided a valuable learning experience for both students and parents. 5th graders performed inspiring plays, and 3rd graders showcased their creativity with bottle biographies of influential Black figures. The 4th grade students brought the Wax Museum to life, portraying historical Black leaders. It was a wonderful opportunity for the entire school community to learn, reflect, and appreciate the significant contributions of Black history.
Celebrating Our February Staff Birthdays! 🎉
As February comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate our amazing staff members who had birthdays this month! 🎂🎈 We hope your special day was filled with joy, laughter, and appreciation for all the hard work you do at Miller Elementary.
