Message from Stonehedge Elementary School Principal
Dear Stonehedge Families-
Good Afternoon, Stonehedge! I hope this update finds you well. We have had another successful week of school and our students are doing a great job adjusting back to school routines. We have started announcing our Wildcat WOW winners. For those of you new to Stonehedge, we positively reinforce expectations with "Wildcat WOWs" tickets which are entered into a raffle. On Fridays, we announce Wildcat WOW winners who get to choose a book from our book vending machines. It is pretty exciting! Check out this week's winners in the pictures below!
Last week, students in grades 1-4 met with our Instructional Support (IS) team to complete the beginning of the year benchmark assessments. Family Summary Reports of those assessments will be coming home in backpacks next week. Our IS teachers will begin working with small groups during What I Need (WIN) time next week, too.
Next week we'll have picture days, too. See below for which day your student will have pictures taken.
Thank you again for your ongoing support. The Stonehedge community is very special. I hope you have a great weekend.
Mrs. Simmons

Positivity Project
This week's Positivity Trait was Curiosity. If you are curious, you are eager to learn and discover new things. When you're curious, you ask questions, try new activities, and explore the world with excitement.
Some of our 3rd-graders shared what they are curious about.
"Curiosity means you like to explore and discover new things."
"I wonder how birds fly."
"I want to know how cars are made."
"I'm curious about all the ways we will use our white boards this year."
School Expectations
We continue to teach and review our school behavior expectations: Be respectful. Be responsible. Be safe.
The children have been learning how to act respectfully, responsibly and safely in all school settings: classrooms, cafeteria, playground, hallway, bus, and arrival/dismissal locations. We hold high expectations at Stonehedge, just as you would at home, and we have our Wildcat Wow incentive to motivate students.
Arrival Procedure
Just a reminder for students arriving by car. Parents/Guardians should follow the traffic pattern pictured below. Please remain in your vehicle, staff members will be outside to assist in arrival. Door #1 will open at 8:45am and students will wait in the Blue Cafeteria until the bell rings at 9:00am. For the safety of our students, parents/guardians are required to check in at the Main Office before entering the building.
