KISD Tutoring Center
The KISD Tutoring Center provides free individualized assistance with writing, reading and math! The tutoring center is located at 902 Rev R A Abercrombie Drive, Killeen, TX 76543.
Hours of Operation:
4th and 5th grade: Monday – Thursday 5 - 7 p.m.
6th through 12th grade: Monday – Thursday 5 - 8 p.m.
For all grades: Saturday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Spirit Groups Hype Up Friday Night Football
During an action-packed start to high school football season Friday, Killeen ISD’s school spirit was on full display. With large enthusiastic crowds cheering on a pair of home games at Buckley and Searles stadiums, it was the band keeping the beat and cheerleaders, mascots and other spirit groups keeping enthusiasm high.Read More Here

Computer Classes for Parents and Community return to Killeen ISD. These hands-on sessions build computer skills, offer internet safety tips, and increase Microsoft Office proficiency. Expect to level up your computer skills!

Sports across Killeen ISD are up and running for the fall season!
At the high school level, cross country and volleyball have three weeks of action already under their belts. There have been some great results so far, proving a summer of hard work can pay off.
The football season opened Aug. 30, and this year is shaping up to be exciting with Killeen High, Shoemaker and Harker Heights together in District 12-6A. Ellison moved down to Class 5A Division II and Chaparral moved up to 5A-I.

Killeen ISD Named District of Distinction for Art Education
For the second year in a row, Killeen ISD has been named a District of Distinction by the Texas Art Education Association. This award recognizes districts across the state of Texas that provide high-quality visual arts curriculum and experiences that encourage individual student growth and connect students to their peers, school and society at large. Only the top 5.5% of eligible districts in the state received this award. We are incredibly proud of the dedication to excellence from our Visual Arts teachers and students.
Join us for the KISD Lip Sync Battle
Students from Theatre Arts I classes across the district will compete on Wednesday, September 18 at 6 p.m. at Shoemaker High School Auditorium in the second annual District Lip Sync Battle. Students take us back in time using the songs from the Back to the Future movies as they create and perform a unique lip sync story. Awards will be given to the top three middle school and high school performances. Join us for an incredible night of music and physical storytelling.
