Seniors....It's FAFSA Time!
To access a Senior To-Do information sheet, with instructions for completing the FAFSA, go here.
Seniors who are not US Citizens will complete the ORSAA. Watch for more details coming soon on this option.
Remember, receiving the free Oregon Promise funds, for use at any Oregon Community College, will require that students complete the FAFSA or ORSAA. This year's Oregon Promise application will open soon. Watch for additional information.

Are you looking for an easy and convenient way to learn about colleges and their admissions process? Plan to attend the Portland College Fair. This event is free to any student and parents. Stop by booths and meet college reps, learn about programs, admissions, scholarships and more. All ages are welcome to attend.

College Goal Oregon will be helping our students in the process.

It's National Hispanic Heritage Month
Students: Are you prepared?
Have you requested an Unofficial Transcript from the College & Career Center? You will use this (and that activities chart) when asking a teacher, pastor, employer, counselor for a letter of recommendation. Send an email to neuenschwander@gresham.k12.or.us and include your student ID# and we will send you a copy of your unofficial transcript in PDF form.
When you need an official transcript, you will access that through your Schoolinks account and your counselor will send it to colleges through an official portal.
OSU Honors College
Oregon State University is hosting the Explore OSU event in Portland on October 2nd at 2:00pm at the World Forestry Center.
This event is focused on the Honors College experience and is a great opportunity for students to learn more about OSU’s programs, admissions, scholarships, and meet with other OSU departments. If you have a senior that is high achieving and has at least a 3.75-unweighted GPA, you can find more event details and register here.
What is the Act Six Scholarship?
Who should apply?
YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY NOW IF YOU:
- love your community and want to use your college education to make a difference as a leader on campus and at home;
- will graduate from high school in 2023, or previously graduated in 2022 or 2021;
- are not currently enrolled at a four-year college (students at two-year colleges may apply);
- live in one of four Act Six program sites; and
- want to attend at least one of the Act Six partner colleges in your program site.
While ethnicity and family income are considered as factors in selecting an intentionally diverse group of scholars, there are no income restrictions, and students from all racial and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
There is no minimum GPA requirement and admissions standards vary across our partner colleges. In general, applicants with a GPA below 3.0 will need to demonstrate their readiness for academic success in college through their recommendations, essays and/or test scores.
